Protein Diet Plan
Are you wondering what on earth to eat these days? It can be confusing, I know! The secret that I discovered when I lost 45 pounds was that eating less was not the answer: eating more (of the right foods) was the only sustainable way to reshape my body permanently.
So what do I mean by the right foods?
By consuming a high protein diet and foods low in fat but rich in complex carbohydrates and fiber you can benefit your health immensely. Protein is a vital building block of your muscles. When you build lean muscle, that muscle requires more calories to maintain it. By adding lean muscle to my body I was able to burn my body fat quickly and maintain lower levels of body fat for years after.
Having a high protein diet helps to ensure that your body has what it needs to build lean muscle when you combine exercise with that diet. You can get rid of unwanted pounds quickly with resistance training and or weight training and high protein diet and foods.
High protein foods keep you full and satisfied for a long period. Protein takes your body longer to break down in your body than carbohydrates.
Combining a diet high in protein with exercise can help your body to convert fat into lean muscle. High protein foods are not only ideal for body builders and athletes, but for anyone who is interested in improving their overall health. Protein plays a crucial role in enhancing the health of your skin, hair and nails.
Chicken, pork, beef, fish, egg and egg whites are some of the best food sources that can be included in your high protein diet and foods. If you are a vegetarian, milk, nuts, yogurt, beans, cheese, protein powder and protein bars can help you meet your daily protein needs.
Protein powders are good supplements that come in various flavors. They are easy to prepare, digest easily and taste great. Protein bars are convenient and you can take them on the go. Whole grains and vegetables offer some amount of protein. I never recommend consuming soyprotein for a variety of reasons.
High protein diet and foods also help enhance your grip strength and reaction time. Eggs are highly rich in protein and they are the best foods for kids and adults alike. Including eggs in your daily diet helps improve your sleep and health. If you are more concerned about cholesterol, you can take whites of two eggs instead of a whole egg. Fish is another protein rich food that contains healthy fats as well. High protein foods are perfect for morning breakfast, as they keep you energized and help reduce hunger prangs. Hence, you can take eggs and fish for your morning meal.
Dairy products, such as milk, cheese and yogurt are high in protein and they help build your tissues. They are complete proteins, as they contain all the essential amino acids. If you look for boosting your protein intake without increasing your weight, high protein diet and foods low in fat are ideal for you. You can try low fat or skim milk. Milk is rich in vitamins and minerals and it helps build and maintain your bone mass. You can choose no fat or low fat cheese and cottage cheese to meet your daily protein requirements. Fat free yogurt is another fabulous choice. You can add any of your favorite fruits and nuts with yogurt to increase its nutritional value.
Nuts are an excellent source of protein that can be included in the high protein diet and foods you consume. They contain many essential amino acids. You can try a handful of peanuts, almonds, walnuts and pistachios as snacks. Nuts are also great sources of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. They contain unsaturated fat that can help lower your cholesterol and boost your cardiovascular health. You can also try flax seeds, sunflower seeds and sesame seeds that are high in protein. You can use peanut butter or almond butter instead of regular butter to improve your health. All of these can be added to your protein shakes for a great hearty taste.
